Hey everyone!
I'm Alex, the quite normal, sawn-off guy next door from Jena, Germany.
Since 2015, I am studying Biology at our local Friedrich Schiller University.
I prefer being called by male or neutral pronouns (He/him and they/them). Besides that, I love talking and nerding. :D Seriously, if a certain subject catches my interest, I hapily learn all the facts that are to learn about said subject and I enjoy sharing my knowledge.
I'm studying to become a scientist and even though it's not really my field of studies, I admire some well-known scientists beyond the field of Biology as much as the normal guy next door admires certain sport stars or musicians. (I have a heart for these professions, too but that's again a different field).
Regarding my own studies, I have a keen interest in arthropodes of any kind and everything regarding palaeontology and palaeobiology. Of course I love discussing these subjects. But that's a general habit - topics I am very interested in are also my favourite subjects of conversation. See more about that in my general info listed below.
In matters of art I like experimenting a lot, though some results I consider too embarrassing to show to the world.
After all, I feel quite comfortable with traditional media, such as graphite and coloured pencils and soft pastels. I also started developing my skills considering digital painting over the last, let's say, three years but realise every day, that I still have to learn a lot.
